Bridging Generations: co-creating belonging between elders and young people

Ongoing Project

Bridging Generations is a community project bringing together older residents and young people aged 13 to 30 in Ealing Town. The project takes place at The Lido Centre.

We will create a welcoming space where different generations can meet, talk and learn from each other. Through group discussions, storytelling, cultural activities, games and shared experiences, participants will build friendships, confidence and understanding.

Older residents have valuable life experience, knowledge and stories to share. Young people bring fresh ideas, energy and new perspectives. By bringing people together, we will reduce loneliness, strengthen community bonds and help break down barriers between generations.

Sessions will run regularly throughout the project and will be open to local residents from all backgrounds. Refreshments and a friendly atmosphere will be provided.

People can get involved by attending sessions, volunteering to support activities, sharing their skills, or helping spread the word to family, friends and neighbours. Together we can build a more connected community in Ealing Town.
