We’re recruiting new members now.
If you live, work or study in one of the borough’s 7 towns and want to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
Your Voice Your Town is about communities creating change where they live. In each of the borough’s 7 Towns, it brings together residents, businesses, faith and community organisations, and councillors to improve their area and make great things happen.
Led by the community and supported by Ealing Council, this is a new way of working that builds on the skills, energy, and passion within our communities to improve places and shape the future.
A Town Team acts as the local decision-making and action planning body for Your Voice, Your Town in each of the borough’s 7 towns. It sets the direction and priorities and brings people together to take action and make a difference to their local area.
Town Team members are volunteers who join a Town Team in their area and commit to working together to achieve shared goals. Their role is to spot opportunities and help the community drive forward action to make a difference to local priorities.
Town Teams are made up of a diverse range of residents, community groups, faith groups, businesses and councillors, who bring different views and experiences team.
Typically, they are a group of up to 30 people, including:
We are currently recruiting for additional members, find out more here.
Town Team members are asked to join the Town Team for around 12 months, typically following a yearly schedule to support community-led action, including the delivery of a community-led fund.
Council officers will make the final decision about who can be part of the Town Team.
Town Teams have agreed a set of values or ways of working, to support how they work together and how often they meet. This is shared on each Town Team’s page. Town Team members must also sign a Town Team Participation Agreement. This explains what their role is, what they’re responsible for, and how they should handle things like sharing information.
Each team will manage a community fund and decide how best to use it to address challenges and develop great ideas in their area.
The first area of focus for Town Teams was to develop a community-led fund – a pot of money to support projects that matched the town’s priorities chosen by local people.
The first year of the community funds have now been allocated, and you can see which local projects received funding by visiting each town’s page.
