Dream Big Ealing! Mentoring for boys, men and parents in Ealing Town

Ongoing Project

Dream Big Ealing is a FREE community mentoring programme for boys, men, parents, and carers who would benefit from additional support. We are delighted to have been funded by Your Voice, Your Town.  The programme focuses on educational goals, wellbeing, and building confidence for a successful future.

We offer weekly 2-hour mentoring sessions across three venues:

  • Boys (11–18 years) from 14 May – 23 July at Ealing Community Church, 266–268 Northfield Avenue, W5 4UB
  • Men (18+) from 8 May – 24 July at Copley Close Community Centre, 39 Honiton Court, Hanwell, W7 1DT
  • Parents & Carers – Pastoral Support on 9 May, 6 June, 4 July and 18 July at West Ealing Community Library, Melbourne Avenue, W13 9BT.

This project was developed in response to the disproportionate impact of stereotyping, unconscious bias, and systemic exclusion within mainstream secondary education—factors which can lead to disengagement, low self-esteem, and emerging mental health challenges.

Through mentoring, we will also explore and examine different portrayals of cultural representation—how they have evolved over time, and the stories we need to tell today to support boys and men to flourish within our Ealing community.

Our aim is to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming space for boys, men, and families from Caribbean, African, Indian, Somali, mixed heritage, and all other ethnic backgrounds.

Each session begins with refreshments, giving everyone time to relax and connect before engaging in meaningful discussions and activities. Participants are encouraged to reflect, share, and where possible, keep a journal throughout the programme.

How you can help

If you or someone you know could benefit, please get involved. We’re keen to connect with boys, men and families that live, work or study in Ealing Town, plus organisations and individuals who can support through research, creative volunteering (filming/editing), or practical help with sessions. If you would like to contribute, collaborate, or support in any way, we would love to hear from you.
