Home-visiting volunteer-Home-Start Ealing
A home-visiting volunteer provides support for a family in the family’s own home, using spending a couple of hours once a week with the parents and children. You work with each family to help them in the way they need it most. This may be with practical tasks such as getting out of the house to attend groups, appointments or visiting the park or helping to get organised; offering advice and sharing experiences; or supporting parents through emotional issues.
After the initial preparation course, we provide ongoing training including Safeguarding refreshers. Opportunities to develop your skills through online training in topics such as, healthy eating, sleep, perinatal mental health and finance. Regular coffee mornings and events for you to meet with other volunteers. A staff member available to support you.
