About Perivale

Perivale is a vibrant community offering picturesque spaces like the Grand Union Canal for outdoor activities and hosting cherished events such as the annual Apple Day at Horsenden Hill, organised by the Friends of Horsenden Farm. The area is enriched by volunteer groups like MindFood, which provide wellness and English language support, and community hubs including Perivale Hive library, which holds craft fairs, cinema nights, clubs, and yoga. The Perivale Community Centre offers diverse activities from archery to dance, while the Impact Theatre empowers adults with learning disabilities through creative performances, fostering both communication and self-confidence.

Your Voice, Your Town is a new way of organising each of the borough’s 7 towns. It brings residents, businesses, faith and community organisations, and councillors together to improve their area and make great things happen.

How do Perivale Town Team work together

Perivale Town Team met to decide how they wanted to work together. They established a set of ways of working that shape how they work as a team.

With Respect – When working together and for the community, to respect and appreciate diversity. Listen to hear and not to judge
Equity and inclusivity – Be kind and empathetic to all
Collaboratively – Communicate openly and honestly, encourage feedback and be open to constructive criticism
Conflict resolution – Ensure everyone feels welcome and included, encourage teamwork, and be clear and transparent to avoid conflict
Innovative – Newness, creativity, timeframe, focus, working in a different way from before, taking some traditional elements along with creativity
Committed – Follow through on commitments; participate actively; show up; and be accountable
Sustainable – Think about and review the effects on the community regarding project delivery and activities.

Being a Town Team member is a voluntary role and each member must sign up to a participation agreement

Perivale's town priority and community fund

Through a big engagement process in 2024 and 2025, local residents, businesses, faith and community organisation shared their insights about the brilliant things already happening in Perivale and their ideas to make things even better. Through this process people voted making Perivale a ‘clean and pleasant area’ the top priority. They also shared what ‘clean and pleasant’ meant to them

Over the last 6 months, Perivale’s Town Team, has taken the insights from this process, and created a local community fund to support great ideas big or small to respond to this priority.

The Perivale Town Team are committed to supporting change in Perivale, the type of change that everyone can be part of, which creates a sense of pride and belonging in the spaces we share.
