The community fund gives money to local people or organisations who want to make Perivale a cleaner and more pleasant town. 'Cleaner and more pleasant' was the top priority chosen by residents in 2024–2025. The fund is important because it helps:
The money allows small and big ideas to grow, helping everyone feel proud of their town.
The Town Team looked for ideas that would help make Perivale:

The fund was open for applications from 21 October 2025 to 31 January 2026. Anyone could apply for small grants of £100 to £1,000 and large grants of up to £3,000 as long as projects showed how they would benefit people and places in Perivale.
The steps to awarding the fund were:
The Town Team put out a call for ideas to respond to the priority identified by local people.
Projects submitted a short, simple application.
Town Team members reviewed applications and marked ideas based on criteria. Town Team members with a conflict of interest did not mark applications or take part in decision making to ensure the process was fair.
Town Team members met to compare scores and recommend the projects that should be supported.
Recommendations were given to an Ealing Council officer, who ensured the process was fair and agreed the decision.
Successful projects were informed and provided with next steps including due diligence and signing a grant agreement.
Those who were not awarded funding on this occasion, were provided with information on other sources of funding.
Perivale had £20,000 to award to projects that support the town’s priority, below you will see which projects have been awarded funding.
Perivale still has a remaining £8,500 to award, and the Town Team are finalising plans to use the funding to make the biggest impact for a cleaner and more pleasant Perivale. More information will be shared here shortly.
Led by Talking and Exploring, this project will run two guided community walks in Perivale to help residents connect, discover local places and feel proud of their neighbourhood. The walks will explore Bilton Road and the Grand Union Canal, as well as Wadsworth Road, St Nicholas Eco‑Church and nearby creative and small business spaces.
Funding awarded:
£1,000 to deliver 2 community walks, including planning, facilitation and materials. The funding supports a welcoming activity that strengthens local networks, encourages positive use of Perivale’s streets and green spaces, and builds pride in the area’s unique character.
Led by Tie‑Dye Drama, this project uses creative drama and storytelling workshops to help residents explore and celebrate what a cleaner, greener and more welcoming Perivale could look like. Through fun activities like role play, games and shared stories, people of all ages will reflect on local places such as the Grand Union Canal, Horsenden Hill, Bilton Road and Medway Estate, imagining “before and after” versions of these spaces and building pride in the area’s strengths.
Funding awarded:
£1,000 to deliver drama‑based workshops, including facilitation, materials and venue costs. The funding supports a creative, supportive activity that strengthens local networks, boosts confidence, and encourages residents to care for shared spaces—directly contributing to a cleaner, greener and more connected Perivale.
Led by a local resident, Annie’s Garden Gems brings people of all ages together to grow flowers and vegetables in gardens and allotments across Perivale. From toddlers to teens and adults, participants will learn how to plant seeds and bulbs, grow food, and care for nature. The project aims to make Perivale brighter, greener and more welcoming, encouraging pride in local streets and shared spaces.
Funding awarded:
£1,000 to run community planting sessions, including seeds, bulbs, tools and materials. The funding helps create colourful, nature‑friendly spaces that attract birds, butterflies and bees, while bringing people together to take pride in Perivale’s environment.
Led by Ealing Mencap’s RealMe members, walk, talk & grow will create inclusive opportunities for adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults and local residents to connect, get active and take pride in Perivale. The project brings people together through accessible walking groups, friendly coffee mornings at Pear Tree Café and a “rent‑a‑bed” gardening scheme at Perivale Park, where participants can plant and care for shared flower beds.
Funding Awarded:
£3,000 will support walking groups, coffee mornings and community planting activities, covering facilitation, materials and coordination. The funding helps create supportive, inclusive opportunities for residents to meet, take action together and feel a sense of belonging and pride in Perivale.
Led by community group Urban Trailblazer, Green Roots Perivale will turn an underused allotment into a shared cut‑flower and edible garden. Young people, gardeners and residents will grow plants together, learn new skills and build confidence through inclusive sessions and AQA‑accredited training. By improving a neglected space and sharing harvests locally, the project reduces isolation and supports a greener, more connected Perivale.
Funding Awarded:
£3,000 to prepare and plant the allotment, purchase tools and materials, and run training and community gardening sessions. The funding supports a welcoming green space that promotes wellbeing, builds local skills and strengthens pride and connection in Perivale.
Led by local volunteers, One Love Cosmo Club will create a warm, welcoming weekly space where residents can relax, read, chat and take part in gentle creative and wellbeing activities. The project is designed to reduce loneliness—especially for older people and carers—by offering a calm, friendly environment where people can connect, feel supported and enjoy time together. By providing an inclusive community hub, the project helps strengthen connections and supports Perivale’s vision of being a kind, welcoming place where everyone feels they belong.
Funding Awarded:
£3,000 will support weekly warm‑hub sessions, covering materials, refreshments and facilitation. The funding supports a safe, inclusive space that reduces isolation and helps residents build relationships and pride in their community.
