Little Reeds, Big Community-Greenford

Ongoing Project

Little Reeds, Big Community – Greenford is a community harmonica project designed to bring people together through music.

Greenford is home to a growing number of Chinese residents, and this project has been developed to support this local community, particularly those who may feel socially isolated or face language barriers.

We are running a series of 8 weekly harmonica sessions at a local community venue in Greenford between May and July 2026.Each session lasts 1 hour and is suitable for beginners. No previous musical experience is needed.

The sessions are delivered mainly in Chinese, helping participants feel comfortable communicating in their mother language, while remaining welcoming to all.

The aim of the project is to reduce loneliness, build friendships, and create a stronger sense of community. By learning and playing music together, participants can connect, relax, and support one another.
