Hanwell bird friendly walks-Your Voice Your Town

Ongoing Project

A series of monthly guided birdwatching walks in Hanwell’s green spaces (Hanwell Zoo area, Brent River, Warren Farm Nature Reserve and nearby routes) for residents who are newcomers, full-time parents or people who feel isolated or nervous about visiting parks alone. The walks will be in simple English and Cantonese, followed by a coffee morning where participants can talk, make friends and feel more confident exploring Hanwell independently.

My name is Roy, an admin of an community group called Ealing and Northfield Hong Kong Club. I am a wildlife enthusiast with a strong passion for nature and conservation. I have received ecotourism guiding training and enjoy wildlife photography, especially capturing animals in their natural habitats. I am also a certified Leave No Trace instructor, promoting responsible and sustainable outdoor practices.

I’m most excited about the opportunity to observe and document wildlife that I haven’t recorded before, and to connect with people who share the same passion for animals and nature.
