Overview

The Asian Community Concern has initiated English classes for Women, particularly local residents including refugees, migrants and asylum seekers. These classes focus on enhancing communication skills and building confidence, thereby promoting career growth and personal development.

Class Details

Every Thursday from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.

The syllabus is designed to be advanced yet accessible, incorporating interactive and innovative teaching methods.

 Participant Engagement

Participants have shared very positive feedback, saying they enjoy the classes and feel engaged. Many have shown interest in increasing the sessions to two days a week to help them learn even more. 

 Volunteer Support

We are currently seeking more volunteers to assist with these classes, which will help us accommodate the growing number of participants and maintain the quality of instruction.

Conclusion

The English classes are proving to be a valuable resource, contributing meaningfully to participants’ confidence, independence, and career prospects. The positive response and strong levels of engagement highlight a clear and growing need within the community for accessible and inclusive learning opportunities. With increased volunteer support and resources, we are committed to expanding our provision to meet this rising demand and to addressing this important community need at Havelock Estate, Southall.
