Collective Light

Ongoing Project

Collective Light is a pop-up installation led by collective @anyyarchitects and @elizabethwan and commissioned by Ealing Council. At its centre is an interactive glowing bench that lights up at night through energy generated by people’s touch and movement—transforming everyday interactions into small acts that help make the park feel safer and more welcoming- a public living room.

Safety in parks doesn’t come only from brighter lights, but from brighter social life. That is why we are hosting a series of fun activities, which may include evening tea tasting, yoga, art workshops and night walks. A pop-up community listening booth where residents can share their thoughts on park safety and imagine the future of Ealing’s green spaces, we want to hear from everyone—dog walkers, families, commuters, and curious passers-by.

Collective Light invites people to reimagine parks as spaces that feel safe, bring communities together, and reflect the life of the neighbourhood. Come and add your light.
