About Ealing Music Therapy

Established in 1989, we are a charity providing life-changing therapy to children and young people with additional needs. We work across multiple schools and run a vital community Saturday Service in Ealing Broadway.

With over 6,000 children and young people with additional needs in the Borough of Ealing, our mission is to expand our services to support more children through the clinical power of Music Therapy.

The Role & Requirements

We are a small team looking for a volunteer with grants and funding experience to assist our Treasurer and Operations Team with funding applications. This role will support us in securing vital funding to expand our services and continue to offer discounted fees to families facing financial hardship.

You will work alongside our Operations Team to:

  • Research trust, foundation and local government grant opportunities.
  • Draw on your existing funding knowledge to assist in writing and compiling details for funding applications.
  • Assist in gathering impact data from our projects to help build compelling cases for support.

How you can help

What You Will Gain (The Benefits) Invaluable experience: Gain real-world insight into small charity operations, working directly alongside our experienced and innovative Operations Team. Exciting opportunities: Be part of an ambitious, expanding charity with growing opportunities and connections. Professional growth: Gain invaluable charity experience, alongside developing your communication, organisation and problem-solving skills. Opportunity to make a difference in the community: Give back to the community by helping enable us to create new opportunities and support for children and young people with additional needs. Volunteers can play a vital role: in helping Ealing Music Therapy reach more children and young people with additional needs. By sharing their grants and fundraising experience, they can support our Treasurer and Operations Team to identify funding opportunities, prepare applications and bring together impact data that demonstrates the value of our work. Their contribution can help secure funding to expand our school and community services and continue offering discounted fees to families facing financial hardship, making music therapy more accessible to those who need it.
