Ealing Repair Cafe

Ongoing Project

Home

Ealing Repair Cafe inspires and teaches people how to mend their clothes.

We offer advice, lessons, inspiration and guidance to mend your clothes. All levels of sewing welcome, from beginners to advance, there’s always something new to learn or share.

We bring all the sewing equipment to get started in mending your clothes, from sewing needles, threads and fabric scraps for patches. We bring along our sewing machine to some sessions depending on the venue, that you can use for suitable mends. If you are looking for sewing machine lessons, we recommend these local lessons.

Currently our focus is on clothes, as this is the current passion of our volunteers. We would love to expand our repair offering to more, such as small electricals or furniture so please get in touch if that is of interest.

How you can help

We have a friendly team of sewing tutors and would love more to join the team. We run repair clothes sessions teaching how to mend clothes and would like to expand into offering other areas repair such as small electricals and furniture at some of their events. We would like: Sewing tutors, who are interested in teaching people how to mend. Finance and fundraisers interested to help us run our finance and raise fund for our sessions so we can run more and a wider selection of workshops.  Small electrical repair volunteers: We want people who are interested or know how to repair electrical items. For more information go to Volunteer for Electrical Repair in Ealing and get in touch.  Please reach out to us if you would like to know more at Contact us – Ealing Repair Cafe
