Neighbourly Connector visiting volunteer-Age UK Ealing
This is an important and highly valued role, which aims to provide companionship, and to help combat loneliness and social isolation among older and vulnerable members of our community.
We will cover agreed out-of-pocket expenses for volunteers (e.g., travel costs). We provide insurance cover for the time you are volunteering with us. This role is offered subject to satisfactory references and Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and we can help you to obtain a free DBS certificate.
We will provide full training for all volunteers

Essential Skills
- Essential: Basic computer skills and at ease using the internet
- Good spoken English, Good communication skills
- Able to maintain confidentiality.
- Good interpersonal skills, particularly listening.
- Confident, enthusiastic, and able to deal sympathetically, patiently, and sensitively with all service users.
- Reliable, Trustworthy & committed
- Is willing to undertake & participate in any essential training as the post requires
Desirable Skills
- Friendly and cheerful
- An existing DBS check issue date 2022 would be desirable but not essential at application
- Another language apart from English is useful but not essential
- Able to drive but not essential
