Meet Greenford's Town Team

I have lived in the area for 15 years, and involved as a volunteer and trustee for Friends of Horsenden at Horsenden Farm.

I love that Greenford has a thriving network of community groups, and hopefully this fund will support lots of great projects!

I have lived in Greenford for 25 years and have been on the Greenford Green Safer Neighbourhood Ward Panel, now known as Greenford Central, since the safer neighbourhood teams started back in 2006.

I have been involved in some local projects and got to know many people and neighbours who have since become trusted friends.

I have been living in Greenford with my wife and daughter over the last five years. Professionally, I am involved in coordinating refugee integration work across London, and I enjoy dedicating some of my free time to contribute to the community i live in. I decided to join  Greenford Town Team to support efforts to make Greenford a cleaner and more pleasant place. Living next to Horsenden Hill has made me realise the importance of preserving natural spaces and of the benefits that bring with it.

I live and grew up in Greenford until my early 20’s and since then have not moved too far from the nest always living withing the Borough of Ealing, and my parents continue to live in Greenford.

As a long serving member (43yrs) of Northolt Rugby Club which has been based in Greenford for 33yrs, it has been my pleasure supporting the welfare of young people through sport.  The NRC are a community amateur sports club who cater for a mix of sports and for all ages. Through both my work and my private life I enjoy the opportunities the parks and open spaces Ealing have to offer.

I have lived in Greenford for over 30 years. I care about the green spaces in Ealing and have volunteered at Horsenden Hill since 2021, where I have been involved in tree planting, hedge maintenance, wildflower surveys and general conservation activities on the hill.

Born and raised in the wonderful Greenford Town, I attended Stanhope primary and Greenford High School. I now run’s Greenford Town Football Club, an inclusive community first football club which currently has over 200 members. I also run school clubs at Drayton Manor High School as well as Horsenden Primary School.

My heart is in Greenford and  is committed to doing what he can to help the community thrive and develop, whilst also providing safe spaces for the younger generation.

I have lived in Greenford since 1985.  Attended the Baptist church for 33 years and I have been one of its ministers for the past 17 years.

I am the chair of trustees for Ealing Foodbank, care greatly about how the cost-of-living crisis is affecting people, financially, socially, physically and mentally.

I have lived in Ealing Borough all my life and have a great love for this area.

I have lived in Greenford for over 40 years. Before retiring, I was Deputy Head of a large primary school in Greenford. For the last ten years I have been the south area representative on the committee of the North Greenford Residents’ Association.

I am passionate about keeping the area safe and well looked after for future generations to enjoy, and I am always  keen to get involved in local activities and events.

“I have lived in Greenford for more than 25 years, and I care deeply about this place. Over the years, I have taken on several local roles. I serve as a school governor, a trustee of The Hub at Greenford Library, and the councillor for Central Greenford ward. My background is in engineering and technology, and I hold a PhD. I enjoy working on new ideas that can make a positive difference to the community and society. My work now focuses on social and place-based innovation, digital transformation, AI, impact, and sustainability. I strongly believe in fairness, inclusion, and social justice. I also believe that diversity should be celebrated and that everyone should have the chance to feel heard and valued as part of their community. I want to see a community where every voice is heard, everyone feels included, and everyone can thrive.”

I have lived in Greenford for more than 30 years,
I care deeply about social issues, health and fairness, and want to see all residents have equal access to public services, and to receive the support and care they need.
Over the years, I have given my time as a school governor in both primary and secondary schools. I also sit on charity boards that work to improve education and opportunities for young people, as well as adults at different stages of life.
I am active in my local church, where I serve on the committee, and my wider work has included supporting social justice through the Diocese of London and the National Church. I enjoy reading, cooking and travelling, and have a strong interest in the people and communities around me.

I have been the chairman at Northolt Rugby Club for the last 26 years and Vice-President of Middlesex Rugby.  At this club since 1983 where they host men’s rugby, adult and youth (male & female) football and Gaelic football, and a puppy training service.

I have also been a cub master for the last 15 years as well as having been Competitions Chairman at Middlesex Rugby for a number of years in the past. I am a keen gardener and cake maker.

I have lived in Greenford for more than 40 years, and I am retired BT engineer. I have spent much of my life giving back to local communities through volunteering, youth work and supporting people of all ages.
Over the years, I served as a St John’s instructor and a qualified youth leader, with a particular commitment to supporting young people, including those with special educational needs. My work reflects a long-standing belief in helping people feel included, supported and able to take part in community life.
Today, I continue to play an active role in Greenford. Through Greenford Rotary Club, I have helped support local schools for the past 20 years. As captain of North Greenford Bowls Club, I am working to make the sport more inclusive, creating opportunities for both young people and older residents to enjoy it.
I joined Greenford Town Team because I want to help improve facilities and opportunities for young people in the area.

Since moving to Greenford 6 years ago, I have really enjoyed getting to know people in the community. It has been inspiring to see how many residents give their time, energy and ideas to improve the town and support each other.

In my spare time, I enjoy walking my dogs, learning new things and taking on DIY projects. I used to teach in a high school, and I care deeply about the welfare of young people and making sure they feel supported.

I joined Greenford Town Team because I want to do my part to help improve the community. I am especially keen to see North Greenford feel more connected and included in the wider work happening across the town.

I joined Greenford Town Team because I want to help better the community I love dearly, and make Greenford a place everyone can feel proud of. ”
