Greenford’s Town Team

Greenford’s Town Team has 16 members – a diverse mix or people all passionate about Greenford and working together to make real change. They are:

Justin has lived in the area for 15 years, and is involved as a volunteer and trustee for Friends of Horsenden at Horsenden Farm. Justin loves that Greenford has a thriving network of community groups, and hopefully this fund will support lots of great projects!

Sarita has lived in Greenford for 25 years and has been on the Greenford Green Safer Neighbourhood Ward Panel, now known as Greenford Central, since the safer neighbourhood teams started back in 2006. Sarita has been involved in some local projects and got to know many people and neighbours who have since become trusted friends.

Marc has been living in Greenford with his wife and daughter over the last five years. Professionally, he is involved in coordinating refugee integration work across London, and he enjoys dedicating some of his free time to contribute to the community he lives in. He decided to join the Greenford Town Team to support efforts to make Greenford a cleaner and more pleasant place. Living next to Horsenden Hill made him realise the importance of preserving natural spaces and of the benefits that bring with it.

Yevgeni is currently working across the Ealing and Greenford areas. He is driven by a strong belief that everyone should have easy access to free opportunities, and he wishes for Greenford residents to have a greater range of accessible, free activities and services

John lives and grew up in Greenford until his early 20’s and since then has not moved too far from the nest always living withing the Borough of Ealing, and his parents continue to live in Greenford.

John is a long serving member (43yrs) of Northolt Rugby Club which has been based in Greenford for 33yrs. The NRC are a community amateur sports club who cater for a mix of sports and for all ages. Through both John’s work and his private life he enjoys the opportunities the parks and open spaces Ealing have to offer.

Anne has lived in Greenford for over 30 years. She cares about the green spaces in Ealing and has volunteered at Horsenden Hill since 2021, where she has been involved in tree planting, hedge maintenance, wildflower surveys and general conservation activities on the hill.

Born and raised in the wonderful Greenford Town, Santino attended Stanhope primary and Greenford High School. He now run’s Greenford Town Football Club, an inclusive community first football club which currently has over 200 members. He also runs school clubs at Drayton Manor High School as well as Horsenden Primary School.

Santino’s heart is in Greenford and he is committed to doing what he can to help the community thrive and develop, whilst also providing safe spaces for the younger generation.

Warren has lived in Greenford since 1985. He has been at Greenford Baptist for 33 years and has been one of its ministers for the past 17 years. Warren is also the chair of trustees for Ealing Foodbank. He has lived in Ealing Borough all his life and has a great love for this area.

Sally has lived in Greenford for over 40 years. Before retiring, she was Deputy Head of a large primary school in Greenford. For the last ten years she has been the south area representative on the committee of the North Greenford Residents’ Association. She is passionate about keeping the area safe and well looked after for future generations to enjoy. Sally is always keen to get involved in local activities and events.

Mike deeply values the local community and has built strong relationships with neighbours, schools, and organisations in Oldfield Circus. Over the past three years, Michael has worked closely with the council and local groups to organise festive Christmas events, including arranging a Christmas tree for the roundabout. His efforts bring together local shops, churches, and schools, ensuring children and families enjoy seasonal treats, decorations, and a joyful community celebration.

Michael runs a well-established ladies and gents salon in the Greenford Northolt area, continuing a family tradition since 1978.

Aysha grew up in Greenford and attended Oldfield Primary and Coston Primary schools. As a local councillor she has has been involved in many aspects of the local community, from establishing composting toilets at local allotments, bringing beavers back to Paradise Fields, to becoming a founding board member of the Greenford Library with the Young Ealing Foundation. She is passionate about green spaces and creating intergenerational spaces where people can collaborate and thrive.

Varlene is a lifelong resident of Ealing, with most of her years spent in Greenford, she is proud to call this vibrant borough her home. Ealing is more than just where she lives it’s where she has grown up, built lasting connections, and witnessed first-hand the strength, diversity, and resilience of local communities. Cllr Alexander’s love for Greenford drives everything she does from championing local services to promoting fairness, inclusion, and opportunities for all.

Javaid has raised his family and lived in Greenford for many years. He works for the NHS and volunteers at Bilal Mosque. As a local councillor he is an active member in community life.

Geoff has been the chairman at Northolt Rugby Club for the last 26 years and Vice-President of Middlesex Rugby. He has been at the club since 1983 where they host men’s rugby, adult and youth (male & female) football and Gaelic football, and a puppy training service. Geoff has  also been a cub master for the last 15 years as well as having been Competitions Chairman at Middlesex Rugby for a number of years in the past. Geoff is a keen gardener and cake maker.
