Meet Acton’s Town team

Driving change in Acton

Acton’s Town Team has 16 members – a diverse mix of people all passionate about Acton and working together to make real change.

“I joined the Town Team because I believe strongly in rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in. If loads of us do a little, we can have a really positive impact in our brilliant community.”


Jen lives in Southfield and works as a professional gardener, alongside one day a week with Abundance London, a local environmental and educational organisation.

After a long corporate career, she’s spent the last 10 years following her passion for horticulture. She believes in the benefits of being outside, working in nature, and creating beautiful, healthy green spaces with the community.

Mohsen is the Founder and Executive Director of London Green Bridge, a pioneering organisation dedicated to environmental sustainability and climate action. He brings 20+ years of media experience alongside a strong focus on public health.

In November 2024, he was honoured as a Green World Ambassador at Kensington Palace, where London Green Bridge also won the International Gold Green Apple Award. He is a certified climate change professional and completed a specialist Harvard course on how climate change affects human health.

Zahra is a local resident who runs a business in Acton and works for a local charity. With over 20 years’ experience in community communications, she’s passionate about making Acton fairer for everyone and ensuring people who don’t feel heard have a voice.

Her interests include tackling the climate crisis, boosting recycling and sustainability, and building a cleaner, more inclusive Acton.

David has taken part in Acton Ward Forum meetings and contributed to Reimagining The Mount, Connected Communities, and Building Community Resilience Emergency Planning for Ealing. He has also staffed the Acton ReUse and Recycle stand at local events.

His community campaigns have ranged from encouraging drivers to switch off idling engines at Churchfield Rail Level Crossing to tree planting in local parks.

Peter has lived in Acton for over 15 years and is a Board Director of both ActOne Cinema and the Acton Business Improvement District. With a background in finance and project management — plus deep local knowledge — he helps ensure grants are awarded in line with the scheme’s guiding principles and that everyone in the community feels welcome and proud.

Hodan is the elected Councillor for North Acton. Alongside her council role, she works in education and actively supports communities across Ealing. She brings strong communication, advocacy, and engagement skills and is committed to fostering inclusion and empowerment across neighbourhoods.

Her interests include amplifying community voices, improving local services and spaces, and creating opportunities for residents to thrive.

Andrew has lived in W3 or W4 for over forty years. He has worked in retail for most of his career and now runs a charity bookshop. A keen history enthusiast, he represents Southfield Ward and brings long-standing local knowledge and community commitment.

Paul has worked and lived in the Borough of Ealing for many years and in Acton for the last eight years and has always been impressed by the diversity and involvement of the community in all aspects in the life of the Town.

He is extremely interested in contributing to Acton’s vitality and development as a Town where people can grow, work and live with pride and opportunity and looks forward to a clean and pleasant neighbourhood for everybody everywhere.

With a particular focus on clean, bright and safe streets with pavements that are clear of rubbish, lighting that makes people feel safe and colour and vibrancy that reflects the community of the Town.

Mass has chaired the Acton Vale Residents Association for the past five years. She joined the town team to connect with fellow residents dedicated to strengthening our community and improving local wellbeing.

With over 25 years of lived experience in Acton, she bring a deep understanding of the town’s history. With a particularly passion to inspire civic participation among young people, underrepresented groups, and drive sustainable development across our town.
