Acton's top priority

In 2024 and 2025, Your Voice, Your Town asked local people what they love about Acton and what they want to improve. They shared ideas at events, online and through local groups.

The top priority people voted for was: a cleaner and more pleasant Acton. Residents told us this means things like:

cleaner streets

creating clean and attractive streets.

nicer public spaces

making sure spaces are clean, inclusive and welcoming.

feeling safer

reducing crime and anti-social behaviour.

places that are better connected

places and spaces where people can meet.

Acton’s Town Team

Your Voice, Your Town brings residents, businesses, faith and community groups, and councillors together, building on local knowledge and skills to turn great ideas into action. Town Teams take action to bring great ideas to life and improve their town

Acton’s Town Team is made up of 16 people from the community – residents, business owners, faith groups, community organisations and councillors. They meet regularly to:

  • look at what local people told us
  • choose priorities
  • support local projects
  • help improve Acton together

Their vision is to make Acton a town where everyone feels proud to live, work and spend time. They want Acton to be greener, cleaner and more connected — and shaped by local voices.
