Catalyst are working in partnership with Ealing Council, Southall Transition, Hanwell and Norwood Green Orchard Trail, Greenfields Childrens Centre and the Canals and Rivers Trust to transform the open space know locally as ‘Bixley Triangle’ at the south of Bixley Field in Norwood Green.
This project is to rebuild the compost area in the community garden in Westcott Park estate. This would be a good opportunity to introduce the local community to an environmentally friendly way of reducing their personal organic waste, via home composting.
The residents association will be holding a fun day full of activities.

Trees for Cities is working in partnership with Ealing council to create a new community orchard for Wood End Wireless recreation ground.
The Southall Orchard Project is a community led initiative to plant orchards and fruiting hedges in publicly accessible places throughout Southall.
The aim of this project is to create at least five new orchards in publicly accessible places throughout Southall by 2020. Southall Transition is working in conjunction with Ealing Council and The Tree Council to achieve this.
This project will transform the filthy Greenford Bridge area and river path along Ruislip Road East.
At the moment, the public open space between Friars Way and St Dunstan’s Avenue is unloved and inaccessible.
The project will recreate a continuous and integrated 8 mile set of paths with information boards encouraging people to experience new areas by healthy means, linking parts of Ealing and London, and helping people get closer to and understand the wildlife and plants in a river environment.
