Windmill estate- Your Voice, Your Town
Completed Project
Who are we?
Samafal Community Association is a community-led organisation based in Southall, London, committed to supporting local residents, promoting community participation and creating positive changes within the local area.
The association works to bring people together, encourage volunteering, promote social inclusion and support initiatives that improve the lives of local people.
Established as a community association, Samafal operates under a constitution and is governed by its trustees. Its activities are supported by local volunteers and people who are passionate about making a difference in their community.
Through the Your Voice, Your Town programme, Samafal Community Association received a grant of £4,950 to deliver the Windmill Community Clean-up Project.
The project was developed in response to the importance of maintaining clean, welcoming and attractive neighbourhoods and encouraging local people to take an active role in improving their surroundings.
Our aim was not simply to organise a clean-up, but to create an opportunity for residents to come together, volunteer and develop a stronger sense of ownership and pride in their local environment.
There is no location information to show yet.
