WE LOVE SOUTHALL-Your Voice Your Town

Ongoing Project

We are supporting residents in Southall to better understand waste and recycling in the UK and take pride in keeping their neighbourhood clean, safe and welcoming.

Many local people are unsure about bin collection days, what can be recycled, how to dispose of bulky waste, and how to avoid penalties linked to incorrect waste disposal. This project will provide clear, practical guidance in a friendly and accessible way.

We will run community workshops, street engagement sessions and one-to-one support to help residents learn:

  • how to sort household waste correctly
  • what can and cannot be recycled
  • how to arrange bulky waste collections
  • how to avoid fly-tipping and littering fines
  • how to keep communal areas clean and tidy
  • how everyone can help improve the local environment

How you can help

Local people can help by volunteering at community clean-up days, sharing recycling information with neighbours, helping promote our workshops, donating equipment such as litter pickers or gloves, and encouraging others to keep Southall clean. Businesses and community groups can also support us by offering venues, refreshments or small sponsorships for activities.
