Holistic Special Education Needs Alliance (HSENA) is a community-led organisation based in Ealing that supports families of children and young people (0–25) with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We have particular experience working with Somali, Black, Asian and other minorities communities, including parents who face language barriers or are new to the SEND system.

We offer culturally sensitive information, advice and guidance on SEND, including support around EHCPs, DLA/PIP, behaviour, early years provision and transitions into school, college and adulthood. Our activities include workshops, coffee mornings, parent training, one-to-one support, peer support groups and signposting to local and national services. We also collaborate with schools, health teams and the local authority to ensure families’ voices are heard in decision-making.

Alongside SEND advice, we recognise the impact of poverty, isolation and the cost of living on our families, and we provide safe, welcoming spaces and activities that help parents and carers feel supported, informed and connected to their community.
