Bini Sudo & Joo Westwood

Event Dates: 21/11/2026 7:00 pm - 21/11/2026 9:00 pm

Echoes of Korea is a cultural and wellbeing experience created by two Korean women living in the UK, bringing people together through Korean food, tea, music, meditation and sound.

Eating together is a huge part of Korean culture. Food is how people show care, share stories and build community. Echoes of Korea takes this a little further, exploring how listening together, through music and sound, can create that same feeling of connection and belonging.

Guests share Korean food and tea before experiencing an immersive sound journey inspired by Korean heritage. This includes chanting Cheongsanbyeolgok (청산별곡), a centuries-old Korean poem and song, woven into live music and sound from gongs, singing bowls and voice. Previous guests have described this as one of the most emotive and moving moments of the evening, even without understanding the words.

The experience was created by British-Korean sound therapist and health coach Joo Westwood and Bini Sudo, cookbook author and founder of Kimchi Club W5. They want to share a side of Korean culture that reaches beyond what people might already know, and welcome people from all backgrounds to experience it together.
