Pedalling Towards Change: Let’s Ride Southall

Who?

Let’s Ride Southall (LRS) is a community cycling group working with residents, local businesses, schools, and community organisations across Southall.

What?

We are creating cleaner and safer cycling and walking routes across Southall. With support from Your Voice Your Town, we will organise community clean-up events, awareness campaigns, and guided rides to encourage people to care for their local environment. https://www.ealing.gov.uk/recycling

Where?

The project will take place across Southall, focusing on popular cycling and walking routes, parks, residential streets, and shopping areas.

When?

The project will run throughout the year, with regular community rides, clean-up activities, and engagement events.

Why?

Cycling has brought people together and improved health and wellbeing in Southall. However, litter and fly-tipping make many routes unsafe and less enjoyable. We want to create cleaner, greener, and safer spaces that everyone can use with pride.

What Will We Do?

• Organise community clean-up events along cycling and walking routes.
• Promote responsible waste disposal and raise awareness about fly-tipping.
• Share maps and information about clean ride routes.
• Work with local businesses to keep shopfronts and surrounding areas clean.
• Encourage more people to cycle, walk, and look after their neighbourhood.

How Can People Get Involved?

Everyone is welcome to take part. Residents can:

• Join community rides and clean-up events.
• Volunteer a few hours to help improve local routes.
• Support awareness campaigns.
• Encourage friends, family, and neighbours to get involved.

Together, we can make Southall cleaner, healthier, and safer—one ride at a time.
