Planetary Health in Action: Showcasing Future Directions
Planetary Health in Action is a collaborative showcase exploring how communities, the NHS, academics and food professionals can work together to promote planet-friendly food choices in Ealing.
What will be happening at the event
The event will share early learning from the Planetary Food Choices project, including insights from community workshops, co‑design activities and planet‑friendly recipes contributed by Ealing residents. Attendees can expect a mix of talks, panel discussion, live cooking demonstrations, interactive roundtables and networking opportunities, all focused on translating planetary health principles into practical action.
The programme includes:
- Welcome, talks and panel discussion introducing planetary health and showcasing culturally competent planetary food approaches
- Live cooking demonstrations and tastings, featuring dishes inspired by the diverse cuisines of Ealing, adapted by University of West London students
- Interactive Planetary Health Roundtables led by West London NHS Trust, exploring community insights and future co‑design opportunities
- Food and networking, with plant‑forward dishes and opportunities to connect with professionals and students interested in planetary health
