The Creative Bridge Summer Camp- Your Voice Your Town -Hanwell

Hello! We are Luke and Will from Accessible Arts CIC, a community interest company dedicated to dismantling barriers in the creative sector. Thanks to generous funding from Ealing Council’s Your Voice, Your Town initiative, we are thrilled to introduce the Creative Bridge Summer Camp.

What Are We Going to Do?

Creative Bridge is an immersive, four-day, fully inclusive summer arts camp. Guided by professional artists, participants will explore new skills in a safe, sensory-friendly environment through:

• Performing Arts: Adaptive drama, storytelling, and movement.

• Music Making: Interactive rhythm and sound exploration.

Mainstream & SEND Provision

To ensure every young person gets the support they need to thrive, we carefully tailor our sessions:

• SEND Sessions: Feature smaller groups, higher staff ratios, and specialist facilitators. We integrate visual timetables and sensory quiet zones, focusing on flexible pacing and highly personalised support.

• Mainstream Sessions: Run at a faster pace, emphasising collaborative group work and independent project management.

By differentiating, every participant receives the exact scaffolding they need to reach their full creative potential without feeling overwhelmed.

“Feeling Safe in Our Community”

At the heart of this year’s camp is a vital theme: Feeling safe in our community. We are using the arts to help young people—especially those with additional needs—process and articulate what safety means to them. By providing physical and emotional safe havens with a zero-judgement policy, we empower them to express their needs, build a supportive micro-community with peers, and foster a deeper sense of belonging in Hanwell.

Why This Matters & What Excites Us

Access to high-quality arts education is not always equitable. Often, young people do not have sufficient access to extra-curricular provisions, and those with additional needs are left out of standard holiday provisions. This project is a bridge connecting young people to the transformative power of art to combat social isolation and boost mental well-being.

Honestly, we cannot wait for the “lightbulb” moments when shy participants discover a new passion and step into their confidence. The absolute highlight will be our Creative Showcase on the final afternoon. Giving these young artists the opportunity to proudly exhibit their work to families and peers is going to be a profoundly joyful celebration of what they can do.

How Can You Get Involved?

A project like this thrives on community spirit!

• Volunteer: Support our lead artists and help maintain a welcoming environment.

• Donate: We always appreciate donations of high-quality art materials or healthy snacks.

• Sign Up: Keep an eye on our website and social channels for upcoming registration dates. https://www.accessiblearts.org.uk

• Come Along: Join our free end-of-camp Creative Showcase to cheer on our talented participants!

Thank you to Ealing Council and the Your Voice, Your Town initiative for making this vision a reality. We look forward to creating something beautiful together this summer!

How you can help

• Become a Volunteer: You can join us at the camp to assist our lead artists and encourage the young participants. You do not need an arts background to volunteer—just a warm, friendly, and helpful attitude! • Donate Materials or Snacks: You can help us keep the camp running smoothly by donating high-quality art supplies. We are also looking for donations of healthy snacks and drinks for the young people to enjoy. • Cheer On Our Artists: You can come along to our free end-of-camp Creative Showcase on the final afternoon. By attending, you will help celebrate the participants and show your support for their incredible artwork. Whether you can offer your time, donate supplies, or simply show up to applaud our young artists, your support means the world to us!
