Westcott Park Community Garden is situated on formerly derelict land in North Acton. In 2012 Groundwork and Catalyst Housing helped local residents transform the site into a community garden and haven for wildlife.
The project objective is to convert the land it into an adventure area for all the existing community users and new users from the wider local community. We want to make use of this derelict unused railway land, unused for over 50 years and convert it into an adventure area and a “Forest School”.
Trees for Cities has partnered with Ealing council to create a new vibrant edible woodland at Marnham Fields. Join us on Saturday 4th March to plant thousands of young trees.
Ealing’s green open spaces are important for conservation but I believe more can be done to increase the wildlife in them. I would like to set up a project to plant wildflowers throughout Bitterns Field.
The Southall Orchard Project is a community led initiative aimed at planting fruiting orchards throughout Southall. The goal is to have at least five publicly accessible orchards in place by 2020.
Join Thames 21, Ealing’s Park Rangers, and with the support of the Pitshanger Community Association, for 3 days of action in cleaning up the River Brent which runs through Pitshanger Park.
